Last night my cousin Tyler and I decided to turn our cats into Mad Men characters, and I kind of lost my mind in the process. I just don't know when to give it a rest. My majestically bodacious cat Bun is very Joan-like, and Tyler's finacee's cat Reeses has a Don-like swagger. Here's the image Tyler created of Reeses/Don.
And then this morning I went nuts creating the following characters using my formidable MS Paint skills. Note: if you haven't watched season 5 yet, one of these photos contains a spoiler.
This is my parents' cat Robert, a tightly-wound, sometimes bitey glamourpuss and the obvious choice for Betty.
Our blue-eyed, skinny weirdo Hypatia is the beautiful Megan, shown here in her zoobie-zoo dress.
Jeff helped me put this together. He combined the two cats (Sagan and Quixote) in front of the SCDP backdrop, and I added Pete's trademark blue suit and Lane's professorial tweeds. They are re-enacting the pivotal and satisfying fight scene from a few episodes ago.
My sister's young cat Cupcake seemed like the obvious choice to play Sally, shown here after her temper tantrum and fall last season. Please note the accuracy of the dress.
Waiting for Sally to call: it's creepy Glenn, portrayed by Julie Klausner's cat Jimmy Jazz.
And finally, this is Melissa and Amy's cat Spot, portraying Peggy circa season 1. Peggy is experimenting with her RelaxAcizor.
So now the ball is firmly in Tyler's court--I will blog about his characters when he's finished with them.

We also also considered Quixote and Sagan as Harry and Mother Lakshmi from this season, but that was nasty.

hahaha those are awesome! Please next consider doing Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad cats!

I would love to see my cat Byron as Harry, but please no Lakshmi.

No, Byron as Paul! Oh he'd be a perfect Paul, past seasons or current.
This whole set has made my day. I bow to your mad (men) skillz.

Very cool Kelly and Tyler. I'd like to see Cupcake incorporated into a scene. LOL.
